We had our hair and make-up done at our suite at the Holiday Inn Express in Middletown, RI. Please note that I DO NOT recommend that hotel at all. I hired Krystal Treanor from I DO Faces for our make-up and Sam C for our hair. We had mimosas, bagels, fruit salad and munchies while we got all pampered. The guys were next door in another suite drinking Bud Light and Monster Energy haha. Two totally different suites :)

As we were getting ready, Jon's step-brother Andrew came in with a present for me from Jon! It was a beautiful card about growing old together and a jewelery box from Hill Jewelers! Inside was the most stunning right hand ring! It has intricate scroll work and diamonds scattered around it. It was designed just for me by Stewart Hill at Hill Jewelers! It's the same store where Jon designed my engagement ring and where we bought our wedding bands! We love them!

We had Welcome Boxes for all of our guests which included a map of Newport, chips, granola bars, water, soda, chocolate and a little note from us!

My something old was Jon's Nana's handkerchief that her mother made for her on her wedding day. My something borrowed was the family Cameo and my something blue was a garter from my MOH with a palm tree since we were off to Hawaii on our honeymoon. My something new was just about everything else!

After we were all dolled up, we hopped on our trolley and headed over to the Glen to get dressed! We used the blue trolley from RockStar and it was awesome! It even had a great bell that I had to ring of course!

Getting dressed at the Glen was a magical experience! It feels as if you are a princess when you are surrounded by all of the dressing rooms and old furniture and beautiful water views! I'd go back and do it all again in a heart beat!

What's with the head? Our best man and Jon's step-brother is an officer in the US Navy. He was shipped out on a mission 2 days, yes 2 DAYS before our wedding. We wanted him to still be a part of our big day so we created his head on a wooden dowel. It was actually quite easy! We just enlarged and cropped a picture of him that we had on our computer and printed it out on photo paper. We then used some spray adhesive to attach the photo to foam board. We then used an exacto knife to cut out his head and we attached it to a wooden dowel with clear packing tape. He was the hit of the night! Everyone wanted a photo with him :) I can't wait to show him all the photos when he returns home!
